Santiam Street Food Truck Review

The Santiam Street Food Truck is a Great Spot to Catch a Bite

The Santiam Street Food Truck located on the Albany LBCC Campus next to the Industrial A building is a great addition to the campus and a great place to get a bite to eat between classes.

Firstly, the food truck is in a great location. It’s in the courtyard surrounded by the Industrial A, B, and C buildings and has plenty of seats if you want to eat around that area. The seating, for the most part, is covered which is nice as we get into hotter weather and even better when it’s rainy.

The food is affordable and there is a great variety of food each day. The first thing I tried was the burger and I definitely got my money’s worth. It was a very tasty meal and the side of tots were especially good. The burger was cooked well and the flavors were all well balanced. There is also the choice to add caramelized onions and bacon to the burger, which are both great options to have. I also tried the Chicken Pesto wrap during a later visit, which was also very good and came with tortilla chips.

The wait time after ordering is incredibly short, even when they are busy. My first visit was busier than my second one and it was still only about seven or eight minutes from ordering to receiving my food. The people that worked the register when I went were all very nice both times and created a good vibe while ordering and waiting.

The noise of the people working and cooking creates a nice ambiance because it feels like each person cares about what they’re doing and it shows in the product that they will give you. The sound of orders being called out, advice being offered between each person, and the sizzle of the food cooking all add together to create the feeling of a well oiled machine.

With short wait times, nice staff, and tasty food this is a great place to stop by to grab a bite to eat while on campus.
