Linn-Benton Community College Announces Strategic Relocation of Lebanon Center Staff
ALBANY, Ore. – Linn-Benton Community College has announced a significant strategic decision regarding the Lebanon Center. In response to evolving educational needs and the increasing demand for remote and online learning, LBCC will relocate its staff from the Lebanon Center to other LBCC campuses. This move ensures that no positions will be eliminated or reduced.
“I understand that changes like this can be challenging as we keep adapting to our community’s and college’s evolving needs in this resource-constrained environment,” said LBCC President Dr. Lisa Avery. “Our goal is to ensure that our educational offerings remain accessible and relevant to all our students.”
LBCC will continue to serve East Linn County through its two centers in Lebanon, the Healthcare Occupations Center and the Advanced Transportation Technology Center. Both centers will provide classroom space for any credit or community education classes in the future.
The subsequent plan for the LBCC portion of the Lebanon Center is still under discussion with various partners, and current tenants will continue to lease their existing spaces.
LBCC remains a community leader in higher education, empowering students from all walks and stages of life to achieve passionate, purposeful growth. The college’s decision to relocate staff underscores its commitment to quality education and its responsiveness to changing educational demands.
