LBCC Volleyball – Beaks Win Several Regional Awards, Willard Named NWAC South MVP

As Linn-Benton volleyball gears up to host the South Regional round of the 2024 NWAC Playoffs this weekend, the team received some recognition for its undefeated regular season.

On Nov. 13, the NWAC announced its 2024 All-Region awards for volleyball, and the Beaks were well represented.

Sophomore outside hitter Brooklyn Willard was named the NWAC South’s MVP, with sophomores Kinsey Brelage (libero) and Grace Luttrell (middle blocker) earning first-team nods.

Sophomore outside hitter Maddy Hellem was named to the second team, while sophomore opposite hitter Rowan Reilly was named to the third.

Jayme Frazier was named NWAC South Coach of the Year for the third straight season. It’s also the third straight season where the NWAC South MVP has been an LBCC player; Willard joins past Roadrunner volleyball greats Grace Boeder and Taya Manibusan.

The Beaks’ star-studded roster will next take the court on Nov. 16 at home for their first playoff match of the year: 1 p.m. against Wenatchee Valley.
