ALBANY, Ore. – The Linn-Benton Community College Board of Education elected new officers and swore in new members at its meeting on July 17. Jeff Davis of Corvallis was elected to Board Chair, and Stacie Wyss-Schoenborn of Albany was re-elected to Vice-Chair.
“It’s an honor to serve as the LBCC Board of Education Chair,” said Davis. “Having been a part of this incredible organization in various capacities over the years, I’ve witnessed firsthand the transformative power of education and community support. I look forward to working with my fellow board members, our dedicated staff, and our student body to continue fostering an environment for success through inclusive education and community engagement.”
Davis has been involved with Linn-Benton Community College since the 1980s as a student, volunteer, instructor, club advisor, administrator, and most recently a member of the Board of Education since 2022. His community involvement has included roles with the Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Corvallis, and several other community-based organizations. He replaces Kristin Adams as Board Chair, who chose to step down though remain on the board after many years of service as LBCC’s chief public officer. Adams also serves on the Oregon Community College Association Executive Committee.
