PRESS RELEASE
ALBANY – On April 17th, 125 new students committed to pursuing their technical education degree at Linn-Benton Community College during the National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3) Letter of Intent Signing Day. Students also got to see the lab space where they would be taking classes and meet their faculty earlier this month.
The signing day ceremony is designed to honor students who are entering a technical field and to emphasize the importance of their career choice. On the day of the event, high school students were celebrated by their friends and families, college faculty and staff, industry partners, and potential employers. “This Letter of Intent Signing Day celebrated 125 students who have made a powerful choice for their future,” said Amy Burbee, LBCC Cooperative Work Experience Department Chair. “Their commitment to technical education demonstrated their dedication to developing valuable skills that industries need. When our partners attended this event, they weren’t just witnessing a signing ceremony – they were meeting the talented professionals who will soon transform their industries with fresh perspectives and expertise.”
