League Of Women Voters of Corvallis Offers “Know Your City” Programs
The League of Women Voters of Corvallis is offering two hybrid educational Know Your City programs for 2024. The first on January 30 will cover the City of Corvallis budget process and the second on February 6 is on multi-modal transportation. Both programs will be held at 6:30 PM in the Corvallis Benton County Public Library Meeting Room, 645 NW Monroe Ave., Corvallis and via ZOOM. These popular programs, launched six years ago, are designed to inform the public on various aspects of our city government.

Finding Your Voice: Effective Participation in the City Budget Process on Tuesday, January 30 will cover the nuts and bolts of the City budget process and how to effectively give input. Join City Manager Mark Shephard, City Councilor Tony Cadena and former Budget Commission Chair Curtis Wright to get your questions answered.

Getting Around in Corvallis: Improvements to the City’s Multi-modal Transportation, will take place on Tuesday, February 6. The future is looking bright for the Corvallis Multi-Modal transportation system with new pedestrian and bicycle features, new multi-purpose paths and neighborhood bikeways, improved mass transit services, a new future parking system for downtown and new Federal ADA requirements. Join Rory Rowan, Corvallis Transportation Manager, and other Transportation staff to learn about what’s ahead.
