LBCC students could see an increase in tuition in the 2025-26 school year. Ahead of the college’s March 12 Board of Education meeting, the agenda includes two resolutions: to increase tuition, in-state, out-of-state, and international, by 4%, and to increase student fees by 4%.
The resolutions are from LBCC President Lisa Avery and prepared by Vice President for Finance & Operations Sheldon Flom. The proposal for increased tuition includes the following statement:
Board Policy 7055 requires an annual examination of tuition and fees by the Board of Education during the budget development period. In accordance with Board Policy 7055, college staff has considered the various factors which are influenced by a tuition increase, and has made a recommendation based upon those factors. An increase of 4.0% is being recommended for In-State, Out-of-State, and International Students.
