LBCC students hoping to be the school’s next student body president or vice president for the 2025-26 school year have about a week left to apply.
The school’s Student Leadership Council created a form for applicants to fill out, with responses due on Jan 29. You can view that form here (must be logged into LBCC Google account).
You can apply for other SLC positions here.
“This is your chance to make a real impact at LBCC!” the SLC posted on Instagram. “As a student leader, you’ll advocate for change, drive campus initiatives, and amplify student voices. You’ll gain invaluable leadership experience, build connections with administrators and peers, and stand out to employers and universities. Plus, these positions come with tuition assistance, helping you focus on your goals. If you’re ready to leave your mark, grow your skills, and shape the future of our campus, this opportunity is for you!”
To facilitate more interaction with the SLC and answer any potential questions about the new openings or the council in general, current president Travis Overvig announced that the Student Union will be open today, Jan. 22, for those who want to “learn about exciting roles on our team, including applications for the upcoming president and vice president elections, plus other awesome opportunities to get involved!”
The event will feature free pizza and drinks.
If you can’t make the event and have questions about the SLC or position applications, students are encouraged to email Rob Camp, the SLC’s advisor, with inquiries: campr@linnbenton (dot) edu. The SLC also has a website that can be viewed here.
