LBCC’s Russell Tripp Performance Center will host special guests on Nov. 21 as Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) actors Tegan Kelley and Cole Haenggi Song put on three performances and an interactive workshop for the college.
The schedule will go as follows on Nov. 21:
10 a.m. – “Julius Caesar”
11:30 a.m. – “The Seven Ages”
1 p.m. – “Julius Caesar”
3 p.m. – Workshop
The free event is part of the OSF’s 2024 School Visit Program, sponsored by the Starseed Foundation, Steven and Karen Tyler, the Swigert Foundation, the Ronald W. Naito M.D. Foundation, and the Round House Foundation. The program is relaunching following a hiatus during the Covid pandemic.
“OSF founder Angus Bowmer started this program over 40 years ago with one simple goal: to bring Shakespeare into as many schools as possible,” reads the OSF website. “We are proud to continue this legacy that for many students will be their first and sometimes only exposure to theatre and Shakespeare’s plays in performance.”
