LBCC Foundation’s Annual Give Day Raises Over $83,000 for Students in Need

The LBCC Foundation raised $83,408 in contributions during its seventh annual Give Day, held May 7-8. The two-day campaign, themed “All In for Hope,” raised funds across five giving areas: the Student Emergency Fund, Performing Arts, Athletics, Agricultural Sciences, and Culinary Arts.

“Give Day has always been about keeping students moving forward,” Executive Director Steven Broncheau said in a Foundation news release. “For years, that meant focusing on emergency support, and that remains at the heart of what we do. This year, we expanded that vision, and the community showed up for it in a way that I won’t forget.”

More than 124 donors participated, representing community members from across Linn and Benton counties as well as LBCC employees and alumni. The campaign also featured 100% participation from the LBCC Foundation Board, the LBCC Exec Team, and the LBCC Foundation Staff.

Give Day included two signature events. Dunk for Hope, presented by Edward Jones-Chris Scarino, turned day one into a campus celebration featuring an Exec Team dunk tank. Every dollar donated by employees counted as a vote toward which Exec Team member would take the plunge. Monte Carlo Night, presented by Willamette Valley Bank, closed the campaign on day two with a dinner prepared by LBCC Culinary Arts students, a performance from the LBCC Chamber Choir, a live auction, and casino games.
