Día de los Muertos

Join us in observing Día de los Muertos, a deeply meaningful cultural tradition celebrated in Mexico, across the United States, and countries in Latin America. This cherished observance reminds us that love and human bonds transcend time and life — that our ancestors and loved ones remain with us in memory, spirit, and the quiet moments of remembrance.

Two ofrendas/altars will be displayed this year in the Equity Center in Albany, Chinook and Benton Halls in Corvallis, and HOC in Lebanon:

  • Traditional Ofrenda – honoring family members, friends, and loved ones whose presence continues to illuminate our paths
  • Community Ofrenda – honoring those lost to national and international natural disasters in 2025, and the strength of the communities who carry their memories forward

We warmly invite you to contribute photos or mementos that honor those who continue to live in your heart. Please bring your remembrances to the Equity Center, Forum 220 in Albany, Chinook Hall room #204, Benton Center room #226, in Corvallis or HOC first floor lobby in Lebanon. All complexes will accept remembrances beginning Tuesday, the 28th and until November 4th. Please note the actual Dia de los Muertos celebrations are Saturday and Sunday, November 1st and 2nd.

Together, we remember. Together, we celebrate the beauty of life that endures beyond loss.
