Each autumn, the Benton County Fairgrounds hosts a fill up your pantry event from the Ten Rivers Foodweb. Local chefs offer samples with winter vegetables.
Pre-order is available but shopping around the Farmers Market is available as well. Pre-order is available though Nov. 7 and if you use SNAP, simply pay at the payment booth. Be sure to ask about Double Up Food Bucks and double your SNAP up to $20.
Ten Rivers Food Web issues a local food producers booklet and a local wholesale business that allows schools and businesses to order from multiple farms with one form, one delivery van and one invoice, streamlining availability and freeing up farmers to concentrate on farming.
A wide range of volunteer opportunities are available year round for those looking for local impact volunteer work. According to Ten Rivers, only 5% of our food is locally grown. Ten Rivers Food Web serves Linn, Benton and Lincoln counties.
