In a celebration of academic excellence and community leadership, Linn-Benton Community
College proudly announces that four outstanding students – Caleb Schott, Alexis McLean, Ryan
Oropeza, and Christopher Patterson – have been honored with a coveted spot on the
All-Oregon Academic Team.
At the prestigious All-Oregon Academic Team Luncheon, held on April 19, 2024, at the
Chemeketa Community College Eola Event Center, these remarkable individuals were
recognized alongside their peers from all across Oregon for their exceptional achievements both
inside and outside the classroom.
Selected for their exemplary academic records, with a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA, and their
dedication to serving their communities, Caleb, Alexis, Ryan, and Christopher have
demonstrated resilience and determination in overcoming obstacles to excel academically and
make a positive impact on those around them.
The selection process for the All-Oregon Academic Team is rigorous, considering not only
academic excellence but also leadership qualities and contributions to the community. Each
student was required to submit a reflective essay highlighting their most significant endeavors
since enrolling in college, showcasing how they have applied their academic skills
to benefit others.
In addition to receiving medallions and certificates of recognition, members of the All-Oregon
Academic Team are eligible for scholarships at participating four-year institutions, further
supporting their educational and career aspirations.
