Students hoping for some extra financial support this school year have around two-and-a-half weeks left to apply for the current LBCC scholarship cycle.
The school’s online scholarship application form will be open until 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 25, 2024. The scholarships will be for financial support in the upcoming winter and spring terms, and they are available to students taking six or more credits at LBCC (even dual-enrolled students).
The online form has a general application that will automatically match students with relevant scholarship opportunities. Students must list personal and academic information, personal statements, and their financial situation in the form. Some individual scholarships may require additional information.
The website notes that most scholarships are financial need-based, for students with a minimum GPA of 2.0.
“Our scholarships are made possible thanks to the generous support of donors in our community,” reads the scholarship website. “Donors want to help you as a community college student at LBCC. There are scholarships to support all types of students, degrees and backgrounds. Donors recognize the diverse background of our students and struggles. They give to make your educational goals a success. We greatly appreciate our supporters of the LBCC Foundation’s scholarship program!”
Students awarded scholarships will be notified by December of 2024.
