Ahead of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, LBCC will be hosting an event to celebrate the legacy of the civil rights icon. On Tuesday, Jan. 14 from 6-8:30 p.m., the school will host an “Honoring Martin Luther King Jr.” event in Room 204 of LBCC’s Benton Center in Corvallis.
“This special celebration, in partnership with local community organizations, will reflect on Dr. King’s profound contributions to peace, justice, and equality,” wrote Yanci Duran Aviles, an administrative assistant at LBCC’s Office of Institutional Equity, Diversity & Inclusion. “We’ll engage in interactive discussions and activities that explore his enduring vision for a more just and inclusive society.”
Light refreshments will accompany constructive discussions at the event.
The event is in-person only.
