LBCC Hosts Third Annual Latine High School Leadership Conference

LBCC hosted its third annual Latine High School Student Leadership Conference on Friday, April 24. College and other area organizations had the opportunity to meet with high school students and discuss programs, services, and activities available at their organization.

Some 200 students from local high schools in Linn and Benton counties attended the event, which included a College and Community Resource Fair in the Activities Center on LBCC’s Albany campus.

The Latine High School Leadership Conference seeks to inspire, inform, and prepare Latine high school students to pursue their post-secondary educational goals, according to organizers at the college. The conference also includes motivational keynote speakers and workshops.

Juniors and seniors in area high schools are invited to attend. Schools also can include sophomores and freshmen.
