College students will get a chance to prepare for their careers in the upcoming Professional Services Workshop put on by LBCC’s Student Leadership Council (SLC).
The event will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 20, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Commons Cafeteria at LB’s Albany campus.
The workshop will feature help writing and editing résumés, practice job interviews, and free professional headshots. LB’s Writing Center will support the résumé help, while the interview practice will include guidance from an “experienced hiring manager,” per SLC president Travis Overvig.
“This event is designed to equip students with vital tools for the job market,” wrote Overvig in a school announcement.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to enter a raffle with the grand prize being a laptop.
