LBCC Volleyball – Beaks Sweep Skagit Valley, Make Final Four

The top-ranked Roadrunners looked the part Friday night, sweeping the Skagit Valley Cardinals in the Elite Eight round of the NWAC volleyball playoffs to advance to the Final Four.
Linn-Benton won all three sets, with scores of 25-13, 25-19, and 25-22. Entering the matchup with a 19-12 record as the west bracket’s second seed, Skagit Valley managed to keep it close late, but the Beaks were too much to handle.
Recently-named NWAC South MVP Grace Boeder led the Beaks with 13.5 points, while Grace Luttrell recorded 13 points and a remarkable .706 hitting average.
With their win, Linn-Benton now sits at 34-0 on the season as they prepare for their next game: a semifinal matchup at 5 p.m. on November 18. The Beaks will take on the winner of Highline vs. Columbia Basin to determine a spot in Sunday’s NWAC Championship game.
