Roadrunners Dominate in Volleyball Home Opener

Roadrunner freshmen Brooklyn Willard and Grace Luttrell shined in their home debut, leading the Linn-Benton Volleyball team to a doubleheader sweep on Tuesday, Aug. 29. 

The Roadrunners defeated both Big Bend Community College and Green River Community College, improving to 6-0 on the season. The Vikings fell to 0-1 on the season, while the Gators moved to 0-2 on the season. 

In the opening match versus the Vikings, the Roadrunners took all three sets, 25-11, 25-14 and 25-11. Willard led the Roadrunners with 14 digs, while tallying 4 kills. Sophomore teammate Grace Boeder led the offensive attack with 13 kills. 

In the second match, the Roadrunners defeated the Gators 25-13, 25-13 and 25-17. Willard finished with 10 kills, while Luttrell followed with 6. 

Next up, the Roadrunners will stay home to take on Treasure Valley Community College on Wednesday, Aug. 30.
