Roadrunner Men Clinch Playoff Spot with Win vs. SWOCC

ALBANY – The Roadrunners outscored Southwestern Oregon 52-36 in the second half, led by 60% shooting from the field, and the Beaks downed the Lakers 84-62 on Wednesday March 1. The win clinches the Roadrunners’ spot in the NWAC Tournament for the first time since the  2017-18 season. 

The Roadrunners finished the regular season 15-14 overall, and 10-6 in the NWAC South Region. The Lakers fell to 17-11 overall, and 9-6 in the NWAC South Region. 

Roadrunner TJ Zimmermann led all scorers with 24 points and added 10 rebounds. Zimmermann shot an impressive 8-11 from the field in the second half.  Teammate Ayden Foster followed right behind with 20 points, and 6 rebounds. 

The Roadrunners will now await the conclusion of the regular season for the other remaining teams, to determine their opponent and seeding in the first round of the NWAC Tournament. If the season ended today, the Roadrunners would be set to play Tacoma Community College on Saturday, March 11.
