LB’s Women’s Basketball Team Improves to 5-1 with Win Over Blue Mountain

ALBANY — Brooklynn Hankwitz scored 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead Linn-Benton past Blue Mountain in Day 2 of the Roadrunner Classic on Saturday, Dec. 2.

The Roadrunners (5-1) got 13 points from Sabrina Albee, while Emmaly Welch and Ruby Krebs added 12 points and nine points, respectively. Kathleen Hale once again grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds and added eight points for Linn-Benton. 

Linn-Benton outrebounded Blue Mountain (1-4) 41-30.

The Roadrunners next travel to the Tacoma area next Friday, Dec. 9, and Saturday, Dec. 10, to take on Olympic and Tacoma.

Roadrunners Defeat Yakima Valley, 71-62, in Friday Classic Game

Sabrina Albee and Emmaly Welch each scored 20 points to lead Linn-Benton past Yakima Valley 71-62 Friday, Dec. 2, in the first day of the 2022 Roadrunner Classic.

Kathleen Hale had a game-high 10 rebounds for the Roadrunners. Yakima dropped to 1-4 on the season.

In the first game of the day, Mt. Hood defeated Blue Mountain 64-55.
