Upcoming Student Reception: October 5

Both the Department of Education/Human Development and Family Services and school co-curricular Change Makers are hosting a free, not-to-be-missed student reception this Wednesday, October 5. If you’re a student majoring in K-12 education, Early Childhood Education, Human Services, or Human Development Family Services, this is the event for you. If you’re a student who hasn’t quite decided on a major, is still exploring, and intrigued by any of the aforementioned areas of study, then this event is also for you!
Held in North Santiam Hall from 12-2 pm, the student reception will offer activities that will allow for connection with fellow students, department faculty and advisors. There will also be fun hands-on activities provided by department faculty and the Mid-Valley STEM – CTE Hub (did somebody say play-dough? And button-making?!). The event will showcase a short student panel, allowing for new students to connect with and hear from experienced students to understand their academic journey within these noted areas of study. And, of course, the casual Tex-Mex cherry on top — a free Chipotle buffet lunch will be provided!
Come on out to NSH, room 210 from 12-2pm on Wednesday October 5. Go for the helpful information and valuable connection, stay for the play-dough and guacamole.
