Student Life and Leadership would like to invite you to participate in a focus group to discuss resources, communication/accessibility, and how we might improve the college experience for students at LBCC.

The focus group should last no longer than 1 hour and is intended to give students an opportunity to discuss their experiences  in a supportive and confidential environment. By participating, student’s can have a voice in encouraging positive changes, and potentially bring about new resources for the student body. There are 3 sessions with three different discussions.  You can attend one or all 3.

Description: Everyone deserves to have healthy relationships, whether they are romantic, friendship or familial and while relationships are not easy or the same, there is never an excuse for any form of violence in a relationship. Respect is the foundation of healthy relationships, and this workshop will focus on knowing what the signs of healthy and unhealthy relationships are, whatever form they may be, or where they take place, virtually or in person. After a brief presentation, panelists will share perspectives on the characteristics of healthy and unhealthy relationships, definitions of “violence” in relationships, strategies for setting and maintaining boundaries, and how to find trauma-informed support.
