Ham Operations Are Always Prepared
A huge gust of wind crossed some power wires nearby and a bright blue flash illuminated the entire neighborhood. Seconds later the lights went out all over that side of town. I looked at my cell phone and watched the antenna receive bars drop from bars from full to nothing. Nothing worked! How do I contact people? How do I contact the emergency services?
