Linn-Benton Community College Holds Earth Day Celebration & Sustainability Fair

Solar Energy, organic farming, water conservation, and pollution prevention, Oh it’s nearly Earth Day. LBCC’s Green Club and Sustainability Committee will be hosting the college’s second annual Earth Day Sustainability Fair.

The event will be held Wednesday, April 18, from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the college courtyard. The event will be completely free and open to all, so there’s no reason not to stop by and take a tour of the green roof on White Oak Hall, or purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at a farmers market, or maybe just browse through the many tables that will be showcasing the efforts of various contributors.

Aside from the courtyard gathering Meghan Dalton from OSU’s Oregon Climate Change Research Institute and Pacific Northwest Climate Impacts Research Consortium will make an appearance in Madrone Hall in room 113 to speak about the impacts of climate change in the Pacific Northwest.
